I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
